Sinopsis:
In a small town in Maine, seven children known as The Losers Club come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.
In the Town of Derry, the local kids are disappearing one by one, leaving behind torn body parts/remains. In a place known as »The Barrens«, a group of seven kids are united by their horrifying and strange encounters with a clown called Pennywise. Bill Denborough has a personal vendetta with the clown. 27 years after their last encounter with Pennywise, the »Losers Club« has regrouped from their successful lives and businesses because IT has returned and kids are disappearing again. The only problem is that they have all forgotten what occurred that summer. It’s up to The Losers Club to regain their memories, to think of the key to killing Pennywise, and to stay alive long enough to end his tyranny but to also realise what brought them together in the first place.

Ich habe mal den Vorfilm gesehen, und er sieht nicht schlecht aus, mehr Gruseleffekte als beim Erstlingsfilm mit Jonathan Brandis.

Die Neuverfilmung wurde massiv aufgemotzt an Effekten und Schockelementen. Die jungen Schauspieler kommen mit Ausnahme von Jaeden Lieberher eher blaß daher. Diese Neuverfilmung kommt meiner Meinung nicht an die Verfilmung aus dem Jahr 1990 heran, besonders da es an einem Schauspieler wie Jonathan Brandis fehlt.

Die Neuverfilmung von »ES« wurde ziemlich aufgemotzt mit Actionszenen und Schockelementen.
Er kommt meiner Meinung nicht an die Erstverfilmung aus dem Jahr 1990 heran.
Die Jungendarsteller blieben den ganzen Film blaß mit Ausnahme von Jaeden Lieberher, der den Bill gut verkörpern konnte, so wie dazumal fast Jonathan Brandis, der leider viel zu früh gestorben ist.
